What you Get When You Work With Me
I started Built by Lucy because I kept seeing the same thing, brilliant, hardworking, independent businesses being let down by their online presence. Either no website at all or something that didn’t get close to reflecting how good they were at what they did.
I work with independent businesses and trades who take pride in what they do and want a website that proves it. New clients aren’t looking for the cheapest option, they are looking for the right option. If that sounds like you, I think we’ll get on well!
From our very first conversation to the time your site goes live, you work with me and only me. I only take on a small number of projects so I can give each one the time and focus it deserves. I don’t outsource or treat your project like another number in the queue.
The result? A website you are genuinely proud to send people to, and one that works as hard for your business as your do.

How it Works
STEP .01
Pre Project We Chat
A relaxed conversation about your business, goals and what you need from your website. No commitment, no hard sell, just a chance to make sure we’re the right fit.
After the call I put together a custom proposal, including a quote, timeline and what is included in the project. If you are happy with the proposal you complete the contract and deposit payment to secure the spot in the diary!

STEP .03
Design & Build I Built Your Website
Using all of the strategy that we have built together I get to work building your site, keeping you updated throughout so there are no surprises. You’ll see your design before anything goes live and we refine it together until it’s right.
STEP .04
Discovery I Get to Know Your Business
Once you’ve booked in I send you a simple brief to work through. This helps me understand your brand, your clients and what makes you different so the website I build actually sounds and feels like you.
Whilst you are completing this I research your ideal clients, audit you existing website if there is one, check out your socials and put together a design brief to share with you. Once you have received this and we are on the same page I check that we have everything we need to get started with your new website.
Launch You Go Live!
Your new website launches, you receive a launch pack from me with super simple tutorials on how to keep your website updated so you don’t have to worry about the techy stuff! You also get two weeks of email support from me whilst you find your feet. After that I’m still only an email away.
